Many thanks to the editorial team at SCIENCE magazine. They recently reported how our HPLC Pump Qualification Pack is offering an efficient, fast, and reliable tool for regulated laboratories looking to qualify the operation and performance of their HPLC or UHPLC systems. In addition, the publication confirmed that using the HPLC Pump Qualification Pack considerably reduces the time required for HPLC pump qualification, while improving traceability of results.

Testa Analytical has recently received official authorization from Agilent to expand applicability of our Flowmeter Driver for use with Clarity Software by Data Apex. This important step will allow Clarity Users to take full advantage of the traceable flow monitoring capabilities of TESTA Flowmeters and add a decisive quality parameter to their HPLC protocols. By tracking flow rate of an HPLC system, it can be assured that the most important parameter of any analytical method is within desired specifications thus contributing to a comprehensive and reliable quality strategy. This is not only of importance to HPLC users working in a regulated environment, but also to any lab which consider data quality to be fundamental to their work.

GPC/SEC methods often use multiple detectors to gather information about the molecular structure of macromolecules. TESTA Analytical has prepared a presentation that provides an overview about the detectors most used in GPC/SEC applications. Further, the author explains the differences within each detector class, provides information about pros and cons of each detector and explores the value of combination detectors.

Any HPLC flowmeter used for qualification of HPLC systems must be recalibrated on a regular base, usually every 12 months. To calibrate and check the linearity of the flowmeter throughout its full range of operation, is of paramount importance, Traceability (and certification by a recognised authority such as ISO or Dakks) is a must in regulated labs. As such, the quality of your flowmeter calibration is of the utmost importance in evaluating its fitness for the task. While many flowmeter suppliers just offer a single- or three-point calibration, TESTA Analytical goes the extra mile and calibrates its Flowmeters using 10 points covering the full range of operation. This comprehensive calibration method ensures the most demanding evaluation of accuracy, precision and linearity thus assuring the performance required for the strictest HPLC system qualification requirements.

Regular validation of Preparative HPLC pump flow rate is a critical task for ensuring the performance and repeatability of your system, as well as complying with regulatory requirements. Because few HPLC flowmeters have been available that are capable of covering the higher flow in preparative applications such as nanolipidic vaccine particle production, this has been an underexposed area of performance qualification. Herein we describe the validation of a positive displacement piston pump used in preparative liquid chromatography using a non-invasive, real-time flow meter. It has been demonstrated that this approach can reduce validation time in pumps by as much as 50%. In addition, the real-time digital data provided by the Prep Flowmeter will reduce human error and thus provide easy validation, all while increasing efficiency and reliability.
